Visiting Anna Maria Island for spring break this year?
Let’s be real, if youre coming to AMI for spring break, you are probably looking forward to our warm weather and beautiful beaches. While we are known for the beaches, there is so much else to explore.
Island Branch Public Library
If you’re all beached out, or are just a huge bookworm, I highly recommend taking a visit to the Anna Maria Island Public Library. There is a vast selection of books and as a visitor, you can apply for a library card and borrow a book at no cost. The card itself is a great unique souvenir, mine has a little manatee reading a book on it. Just remember to return the book before you fly home!

Graze Street
One of our favorite places to eat on AMI is called Graze Street. Located near Holmes Beach, Graze Street prides themselves on having the best quality ingredients, and it is evident. Working with local producers and women owned businesses, you can find fresh sandwiches and order specialized charcuterie boards, right by the beach. A meal, or two, with Graze Street is a must when visiting ami this spring break. PS don’t forget to grab a cookie while you are there, they are divine.
Shop and dine on Pine
When I have a day off and get to play tourist for the day, one of my go-to's is a walk down Pine Avenue. A street full of delicious meals, snacks, and ice cream stops as well as boutiques and stores to shop around. Some of my food recommendations on Pine Ave include The Donut Experiment, Cool Beans Coffee Shop, Waterfront, Two Scoops Ice Cream, Pizza Social, and my all time favorite AMI restaurant, Poppo’s Taqueria. An honorable mention is Ginny & Jane E’s, which is not technically on Pine Ave but it’s very close, and is also a store.
Beach Suites AMI
If you are seeking a luxurious beach experience, look no further than Beach Suites AMI. Beach Suites has a variety of packages, of which can include beach chairs, umbrellas, a cabana, a cooler, games, you can even order food to the beach with no delivery fee. This is definitely the move if you want your beach day to be elevated to the next level.
AMI Sunset
My final suggestion is to watch the sunset. Our skies deliver the most vibrant sunsets I have ever see, you can't miss this. Grab your vacay crew and head to your favorite beach around 7:15pm tonight to enjoy the fullness of the experience.
